The tour starts at 9:00 AM from Merzouga. We warm up the engines and head straight into the stunning golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Then we ride through Khamlia, known for its Gnawa music and African heritage.
After passing through Taous and the small villages of Jdaid and Ouzina, we continue across wild desert lands and reach Ramlia, a tiny village lost in the dunes. The ride continues through breathtaking rocky tracks until we arrive in Tafraout, where we settle for the night.
We start the day by exploring the peaceful village of Tafraout Sidi Ali, then head towards Oasis Zgilma, a beautiful palm grove surrounded by desert. The route takes us past old villages and remote scenery before reaching Tagnit, a charming traditional stop.
Later, we ride to M’hamid, the last village before the great Sahara begins. This is where the real desert begins—no paved roads, just pure off-road fun.
We begin by riding through the palm trees and sand tracks of M’hamid, heading towards the Ikri Oasis. The highlight of today’s journey is the wide and wild Erg Chgaga dunes—larger and less visited than Erg Chebbi.
This day is all about testing your bike skills as you race across soft sand, deep dunes, and natural tracks. At sunset, we reach our desert camp, where we enjoy a traditional Berber dinner and music under the stars.
Today, we leave the dunes behind and ride through Lake Iriki, a dry lake bed that looks like a moon landscape. This part of the ride is fun and fast, giving you the full freedom of the desert.
Afterwards, we reach the town of Foum Zguid, a small desert town where we can refuel and relax. We spend the night in a comfortable desert camp nearby, enjoying local hospitality and food.
We ride along winding roads and through changing desert scenery to reach Zagora, a town full of history, known as the “Gateway to the Desert.” On the way, we pass through Omajran, a small scenic village.
From Zagora, we continue our journey back to Tafraout Sidi Ali, where we spend the night once again, bringing us closer to completing our amazing loop across Morocco’s deep south.
Our last day begins in the heart of the desert. We ride through M’harech, known for its wild canyons and landscapes, before visiting the ancient Kasbah Obahlo. Then we ride to Oasis Borika, a peaceful green place in the middle of nowhere.
Finally, we return to Merzouga, completing our full circle around Morocco’s Sahara region. This is the end of the tour—but the memories will stay with you forever.
