Unique 6 days motorcycle tour from Ouarzazate

Our 6-day motorcycle tour from Ouarzazate to Merzouga begins today. After arriving, you will check into your accommodation in Ouarzazate. During the day, you can explore the city and its environs. The Kasbah Taourirt, an impressive adobe fortification that once served as the Glaoui clan’s home, or the Atlas Film Studios are also worth visiting in Ouarzazate, a well-known filming site.

A pleasant day of biking will help you to become acquainted with your bike and the terrain. After breakfast and roughly six kilometers on the road, you’ll travel northeast on sweeping trails through the local military range. We leave the plateau and descend into the arid riverbeds and gorges of the High Atlas’ periphery.

The route is largely hard-packed soil, with a few short rocky portions, river crossings, and tiny communities tossed in for good measure. Some long parts of the undulating track twist across the hills with no rocks in sight. After a picnic lunch on the path, you’ll turn south the after 100 kilometers.

You’ll descend via the Anti-Atlas Mountains to Agdz. Following a quick refueling and coffee break, the route will take you 30 kilometers off-road through palmeraie, hugging the River Draa before returning to asphalt. Take the route east for 22 kilometers from there. You’ll spend the night in N’Kob, a settlement on the way to the coast. You will spend the evening in a 200-year-old kasbah that has been converted.

En route, we make a fascinating stop at the Lost City, also known as Oubahlou, a mesmerizing ancient Portuguese ruin. We take our time to explore this mystical place, walking among the remnants of its past glory.

Continuing our journey, we arrive in Mharech, where history comes alive at every turn. We delve into the city’s historical sites, immersing ourselves in its rich heritage and architectural wonders. The tantalizing aroma of freshly baked pizza wafts through the air, enticing us to savor a local specialty, adding a delicious culinary experience to our adventurous day.

After indulging in a leisurely lunch and taking a few hours to relax and recharge, we begin our return trip to Merzouga. As the desert landscape unfurls before us once more, we find ourselves reminiscing about the incredible encounters, awe-inspiring landscapes, and unforgettable moments we have experienced throughout our 6-day Ouarzazate Motorcycle tour.

Ride to Merzouga after breakfast and explore the surrounding area. Ride a camel through the Erg Chebbi dunes, Morocco’s largest and most stunning sand dunes. Spend the night in a desert camp and dine under the stars on a traditional Moroccan meal.

After breakfast, you will depart Merzouga and travel 215 kilometers to Tinghir. The journey for the day will take you through the stunning countryside of southern Morocco. You will pass via Rissani, a medieval village known for its traditional markets and old ruins. You may explore the ruins of Sijilmassa’s old city and learn about the region’s history and culture by visiting the local souks.
After that, you’ll ride your bike to Alnif, a little village famed for its bright traditional mud-brick architecture. Visit the local markets, meet friendly locals, and learn about traditional Berber culture to take a rest.

Finally, you will reach Todra Gorge, a magnificent gorge cut by the Todra River. Tineghir is a good place to spend the night.

On the final day of your Enduro tour from Ouarzazate, you’ll ride back to Ouarzazate, passing through various tiny towns and admiring the scenery. When you arrive at Ouarzazate, you can unwind and reflect on your journey.
