Our journey begins in Ouarzazate, often called the gateway to the Sahara. After a quick briefing and bike check, we ride south towards Agdz, a quiet village nestled in the Draa Valley. Here, you’ll see endless palm groves and ancient kasbahs.
We’ll stop for lunch in Agdz, then continue through N’Kob, known for its dozens of traditional mud-brick houses, toward Zagora. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking desert views and photo stops at panoramic viewpoints. In Zagora, you’ll see the famous “Tombouctou 52 Days” sign, showing how far Timbuktu is by camel. Dinner and overnight stay in a charming local guesthouse.
After breakfast, we head deeper into the Moroccan desert. We’ll ride through Oumjran and the wide Draa Valley, home to small Berber villages and palm oases. We take a thrilling off-road route that follows the famous Paris-Dakar Rally trail, crossing rocky plains and desert plateaus.
We’ll explore the hamadas (black rock deserts) and golden ergs before arriving at the stunning Erg Chebbi dunes near Merzouga. Enjoy a magical sunset on top of the dunes before heading to our desert camp. Here, you’ll enjoy a Berber-style dinner, sit around the fire, and listen to drum music under the stars.
Today is all about discovering the life of the Sahara. We start our day with a ride to Khamlia, a small village known for its Gnawa music, played by descendants of African slaves. Their spiritual rhythms tell deep stories of their ancestors.
We continue to the far southern edge of Morocco, near the Algerian border, visiting Begaa village—a remote place few tourists ever reach. We stop for a picnic lunch under the tamarisk trees near Tisrdmine and Safsaf.
We ride back to Merzouga by late afternoon. Tonight, we rest in a cozy hotel and enjoy dinner after a full day of cultural and scenic exploration.
We rise early to catch the sunrise over the dunes, then begin our journey north. We ride through Rissani, the former capital of the ancient Tafilalt kingdom, famous for its local market and fossil shops.
Passing Erfoud, we enter a more rocky and mountainous landscape, heading towards the Todra Gorge. This part of the ride includes a more technical off-road section that requires focus and skill—but the reward is massive cliffs and a winding river in a magical canyon.
We finish our day in Tinghir, a peaceful town known for its beautiful oasis and welcoming people. Enjoy a well-deserved rest and dinner in a guesthouse surrounded by date palms.
The final day of our tour takes us through the green valleys and old villages of the south, heading back toward Ouarzazate. Along the way, we pass through Skoura, known for its kasbahs and palm gardens. After arriving in Ouarzazate, we end our journey with great memories and new friendships.
