Your day starts early with a pickup from your hotel or riad in Merzouga. At 9:00 AM, we head to our base where you’ll meet your expert local Enduro guide. We’ll provide you with all the essential gear: helmet, gloves, protective clothing, and safety instructions.
The engine roars to life and we begin our ride through the wild terrain of Merzouga. We cross rocky paths, dry riverbeds, and soft sand trails. Our first destination is the Erg Chebbi dunes, one of Morocco’s most famous desert landscapes. Riding through these towering dunes on a KTM Enduro bike is a thrilling experience.
After a stretch through the sand, we continue toward Begaa and Saf-Saf, small desert villages that offer a glimpse into the quiet life of local people. Along the way, we make a special stop to meet Nomadic families living in tents. You’ll enjoy a cup of fresh Moroccan tea and learn about their unique lifestyle.
At around 12:00 PM, we reach Khamlia village, a small settlement known for its Gnawa heritage. The people here are of Sub-Saharan African descent, and many are musicians. We enjoy a warm Berber lunch in a traditional desert restaurant, including local specialties like tagine, couscous, and fresh bread baked in the sand oven.
If time allows, you can enjoy a short performance of traditional Gnawa music, full of rhythm and spiritual energy.
After lunch, we get back on our bikes and continue riding through the southern dunes of Erg Chebbi, climbing and descending sandy hills and enjoying the endless golden scenery. We stop at Tisrdamen, a small desert outpost, before heading back toward Merzouga.
As the day ends, we take a break at a panoramic spot to watch the sunset over the dunes. The soft light, warm air, and golden sand create a peaceful and unforgettable moment.
Finally, we return to Merzouga as the stars begin to shine, finishing our tour around 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
