Your adventure begins in Merzouga, where you’ll get introduced to your KTM 450 and the support team. After a short briefing, we’ll ride into the golden Erg Chebbi dunes, enjoying panoramic views and riding over soft sand.
We’ll visit the village of Khamlia, where you can enjoy live Gnawa music performed by the local black African community.
Next, we ride to Begaa, the last Moroccan village near the Algerian border, passing through Tisrdmine oasis and reaching Saf-Saf, where we stop for a picnic lunch under the trees. After some rest, we return to Merzouga and spend the night in a comfortable desert hotel, with a traditional Moroccan dinner included.
We begin our second day by heading to Taous, a small village with ancient rock carvings and wide-open desert views. The ride takes us through Jdaid, a peaceful village surrounded by dunes and palm groves.
We then reach the remote village of Ouzina, known for its isolation and beauty. After a relaxing stop in Ramlia, where we have lunch and take a break from the heat, we continue towards Tafraout Sidi Ali. Here, we’ll sleep in a traditional guesthouse or desert lodge, and enjoy a calm evening under the stars.
Today is packed with history and adventure. From Tafraout, we head to the Lost City of Oubahlou, where we stop to explore ancient ruins left by the Portuguese many centuries ago. These ruins hold deep stories of trade, war, and desert survival.
Next, we ride to Tijekht, a mining village where we visit baryte mines and learn about local life and mining techniques. We then continue through dry riverbeds and stony paths to Jdaid, where you can try delicious Berber pizza, freshly made by locals.
After lunch, we finish our ride in Ouzina, where you’ll spend the night in a desert auberge, surrounded by silence and endless sands.
Our final day begins in Ouzina. We take the off-road path through Tizzi n’Rsass, a rocky desert pass with sweeping views. Along the way, we stop in Om Lhadej, a hidden spot in the desert that offers great photos and quiet moments.
Our ride continues to Rissani, a historic town and the original capital of the Alaouite dynasty. We visit the local market, explore the Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif, and have one last tasty Berber lunch.
Finally, we ride back to Merzouga, where your 4-day KTM tour ends with unforgettable memories of the desert, dunes, and amazing people.
