If you just have a few days for your vacation and want to experience the desert, our 3 days Moto KTM tour from Ouarzazate is ideal. You’ll see the legendary Draa Valley, test your sand riding talents on the Chegaga dunes, ride on old Paris-Dakar rally route, blast full-speed through a dry, flat lake bed, and climb the harsh Anti-Atlas mountains in three days. When you return to work, your coworkers will be amazed at what an exciting weekend you had.

75 kilometers of asphalt get us to the start of the piste after we pick up our gear and bikes from our shop. After a brief coffee, we hit the dirt on a lovely flowing hilly circuit that becomes increasingly bumpy and demanding over the morning. At the end of the morning, a steep and rocky mountain passes. A picnic lunch on the trail.
In the afternoon, the mountains become more canyon-like before a stunning plunge down the side of a canyon puts us out into the Draa Valley. A wonderful piste runs through the ancient mud walled towns of this famed region, but there is also the option of following the support car to the hotel on road (and being the first one to the bar!) In Zagora, there is a pleasant four-star hotel with a swimming pool.
We’ll get an early start this morning because the day is going to be lengthy and exhausting. We ride south on ancient rally tracks, where you can practice keeping your bike steady at high speeds. A brief recharge for the motorcycles before we go out on the fast and flowing tracks that lead west to the Chegaga sand dunes. We stop at the dunes for lunch before continuing on to Foum Zguid. The slope is initially rough, but it gradually smooths out, and we are soon sailing across the (normally) dry lake bed of Lac Iriki. Discover how fast a KTM can truly go.
We take an old Dakar rally route into the village of Foum Zguid, where we spend the night at a pleasant hotel nestled amid a lovely palmery.
Today, we’ll traverse the Anti-Atlas mountains, and after a brief tarmac detour, we’ll arrive at an incredible gorge where local Berber peasants produce dates on a large scale. One more settlement, and our final chance for cover until midday, before we begin our ascent up stunning trails clinging to the edge of this ancient mountain range.
We arrive in Tazenakht for lunch after a brief drop and a rapid blast across agricultural plains. Ouarzazate Moto excursion is almost finished, but the smooth and sweeping gravel road back to Ouarzazate is a treat.
After dropping off the bikes at our shop, relax in the hotel pool before we pick you up at 8 p.m. for supper. Last chance for a team photo, a speech, or a beer for the guide.

I recently participated in the 3-day Moto Enduro Tour from Ouarzazate, and it was an unforgettable adventure! From start to finish, the experience exceeded all my expectations. The tour was well-organized, and the itinerary perfectly balanced thrilling off-road riding with stunning scenic views.
The motorbikes provided were top-notch and in excellent condition, making the challenging terrain fun and manageable. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and ensured everyone’s safety while also sharing fascinating insights about the local culture and landscapes. The routes chosen took us through diverse terrains, from the majestic Atlas Mountains to the vast desert, providing breathtaking views at every turn.
The accommodations were comfortable and provided a much-needed rest after a day of riding. The meals were delicious and gave us a taste of the local cuisine, adding to the overall experience.
One of the highlights was the overnight stay in the desert camp, where we enjoyed a beautiful starry night and traditional music around a campfire. It was a perfect blend of adventure and cultural immersion.
I highly recommend this tour to any motorcycle enthusiast looking for an exciting and memorable journey through Morocco. It’s an experience you won’t forget!
